Sweetsland – Legal information, Policies and Terms

This page contains all the legal terms, delivery rules, policies and disclaimers for purchasing from Sweetsland online or in-store.


📘 1. Terms & Conditions

By placing an order with Sweetsland, you agree to these Terms & Conditions:

1.1 Product Availability

  • All items depend on stock availability.
  • Prices may change without notice.
  • If an item is out of stock after you order, we will offer an alternative or refund.

1.2 Orders

  • We may short some items we will contact you for alternatives.
  • No order is prepared until payment reflects.

1.3 Payments

We accept:

  • EFT
  • Yoco Cart at Check out
  • Cash (local deliveries only)
  • Card (local deliveries only)

If payment is not received within 24 hours, the order is cancelled automatically.

1.4 Deals & Multi-Buys

  • are subject to availability.

1.5 Product Images

Images may differ from actual products due to supplier packaging changes.

1.6 Refunds & Returns

Because we sell food items, we follow strict rules:

Refunds are approved only for:

  • Wrong items
  • Missing items
  • Damaged packaging BEFORE courier collection (photo required)

No refunds for:

  • Melted chocolate
  • Heat damage
  • Sweets damaged by courier handling
  • Late collection from courier lockers
  • Opened products

1.7 Allergens

Products may contain:

  • Dairy
  • Gluten
  • Nuts
  • Soy
  • Artificial colourants
  • Preservatives

Always check packaging.

Sweetsland respects your privacy and handles your personal information responsibly.

2.1 Information We Collect

  • Name & surname
  • Delivery details
  • Cell number
  • Order details
  • Payment confirmation
  • WhatsApp chats related to orders

2.2 How We Use Your Information

  • To process and deliver orders
  • To confirm payments
  • To send order updates
  • To send promotions (optional consent)

We never sell or share your information with third parties.

2.3 Payment Security

All EFT and Yoco transactions occur through secure, encrypted platforms.
We do not store card numbers.

2.4 Your Rights

You may request:

  • A copy of your stored data
  • Updates or corrections
  • Removal of your data

🚚 3. Delivery Policy (Local & National)

This section covers all delivery options offered by Sweetsland.


🏠 3.1 Local Delivery (Klerksdorp Surrounding Areas)

Sweetsland is responsible for:

  • Packing correctly
  • Ensuring correct items leave the shop
  • Ensuring packaging is secure

Sweetsland is NOT responsible for:

  • Melted chocolates
  • Sweets softened in heat
  • Damages after leaving Sweetsland
  • Incorrect address provided
  • Customer unavailability during delivery
  • Re-delivery fees

Local delivery fees are non-refundable.


3.2 National Delivery (Courier Guy Locker)

Once the parcel is handed over to the courier:

Sweetsland is NOT liable for:

  • Loss
  • Theft
  • Damage
  • Breakage
  • Melting
  • Delays
  • Incorrect locker routing
  • Incorrect locker selection by customer
  • Courier mistakes

IMPORTANT:

Couriers do not insure food items, including chocolate and sweets.

Delivery is entirely at customer’s risk.


📦 4.Courier Guy Locker Disclaimer (Very Important)

By choosing Courier Guy Locker delivery, the customer accepts:

  • No compensation for lost parcels
  • No compensation for melted chocolate
  • No refunds if the locker malfunctions
  • No refunds for delays
  • No refunds for theft
  • No refunds for damage inside the locker
  • No refunds if customer forgets to collect on time

Sweetsland does not replace or refund any Courier Guy Locker deliveries.

Choose Courier Guy Locker only if you fully accept the risk.

📤 6. Shipping Policy

Dispatch Times

  • Orders paid before 12:00 → same-day dispatch (Depending on Stock availability)
  • Orders paid after 12:00 → next working day (Depending on Stock availability)

Packaging

We use:

  • Bubble wrap
  • Boxes
  • Courier bags

Packaging costs are included in the courier quote.


💸 7. Returns & Refund Policy (Full)

Refunds are only considered for:

  • Wrong item sent
  • Missing items
  • Damaged packaging BEFORE courier collection

Refunds are NOT offered for:

  • Melted products
  • Heat damage
  • Courier handling errors
  • Locker issues
  • “Change of mind”

All refund requests must include:

  • Order number
  • Photos
  • Description of problem

Refunds (if approved) are processed within 7 business days.


⚖️ 8. Customer Liability Agreement

By placing an order:

  1. You confirm you understand that sweets and chocolate can melt in transit.
  2. You accept full responsibility for courier risks outside Sweetsland’s control.
  3. You agree that Sweetsland’s liability ends once the parcel leaves our premises.
  4. You understand that Pudo is high risk and not insured.
  5. You agree to double-check address and locker details.
